Summary: The Sessional Lecturer in Counselling at Kingston College will be responsible for teaching various counselling courses, including degree programs and introductory courses. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach across all levels of counselling courses from Monday to Friday.
  • Mark assignments and provide tutorial support to students.
  • Plan, prepare, and carry out administrative tasks effectively within deadlines.
  • Assess students’ work and skills practice.
  • Support, challenge, mentor, and motivate students in their learning journey.

Key Skills:

  • Professional qualification in Integrative Relational counselling or Psychotherapy, or Children & young people (minimum L6 Diploma or Honours Degree).
  • Practising member/registrant of BACP, UKCP, NCPS, or equivalent professional UK body.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Recent teaching experience and a teaching qualification.
  • Supervision qualification or experience in providing supervision in counselling or life coaching.
  • Good IT skills and ability to respond flexibly to changing circumstances.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
