Summary: The ServiceNow Technical Architect role focuses on designing and governing scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions on the ServiceNow platform within a complex enterprise environment. The architect will lead various initiatives, including implementations, enhancements, and integrations, while ensuring compliance with security and audit requirements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and own end-to-end ServiceNow architecture across modules such as ITSM, ITOM (Discovery & Service Mapping), and ITAM.
  • Design and maintain architectural blueprints, standards, and best practices aligned to enterprise IT strategy and digital transformation goals.
  • Lead architecture for new ServiceNow implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and platform consolidation initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, audit, and compliance requirements in line with enterprise policies.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to development and delivery teams.
  • Lead technical design sessions, architecture reviews, and code reviews, ensuring adherence to platform and coding standards.
  • Architect and oversee complex integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, SAML, and middleware platforms.
  • Design scalable, reliable solutions including custom applications, orchestration, and third-party integrations.
  • Lead ServiceNow instance strategy, including deployments, upgrades, migrations, and multi-instance consolidation.
  • Support CMDB enrichment and CSDM-aligned implementations, ensuring data quality and architectural integrity.
  • Apply Gen AI and Agentic AI capabilities within ServiceNow, contributing to intelligent automation and enhanced user experiences.

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience, with 3+ years in a ServiceNow Technical Architect role.
  • Deep expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture and core modules.
  • Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
  • Proven experience architecting ServiceNow integrations and complex enterprise solutions.
  • Experience rolling back heavy customisations to out-of-the-box (OOB) ServiceNow where appropriate.
  • Experience restructuring Knowledge Management and catalog taxonomy, including large-scale rationalisation initiatives.
  • Strong experience delivering CMDB and CSDM-aligned architectures.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes and their implementation within ServiceNow.
