Summary: The ServiceNow Technical Architect role is a contract position focused on designing and delivering enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions, particularly in Customer Service Management (CSM) and IT Service Management (ITSM). The architect will lead complex integrations, provide technical leadership, and ensure solutions align with best practices while collaborating with stakeholders. This senior, hands-on role requires extensive experience in ServiceNow implementations and technical governance. The position is based in London and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into ServiceNow CSM / ITSM technical solutions
  • Define and maintain architecture blueprints and detailed solution designs
  • Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and external systems (e.g. CRM, ERP, cloud platforms)
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with future business needs
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of ServiceNow CSM solutions from design through deployment
  • Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow applications and modules
  • Establish and enforce technical governance, standards, and best practices
  • Act as a subject matter expert for resolving complex ServiceNow technical issues
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure solution alignment and delivery success

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow Technical Architect, specialising in CSM
  • Strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow CSM, including case management, workflows, and portals
  • Extensive integration experience using REST, SOAP, APIs, MID Server, Integration Hub
  • Experience leading multiple ServiceNow implementations, including at least 3 full lifecycle projects
  • Knowledge of Flow Designer, Orchestration, and Integration Hub spokes
  • Experience with third-party integrations (e.g. Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, AWS, Azure)
  • Exposure to instance consolidation, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and client-facing skills
