Summary: The role of ServiceNow - DevOps Engineer focuses on managing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and driving automation initiatives within the IT Service Management and Operations team. The position requires expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, DevOps practices, and automation frameworks to enhance operational efficiency and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. This is a 6-month contract based in London with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Drive automation initiatives across infrastructure and application environments.
- Integrate CMDB with monitoring and discovery tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.
- Manage multiple priorities and stakeholder communications.
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB and ITSM modules.
- Strong knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Shell).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes, especially Configuration, Change, and Incident Management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Technical Expertise
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB and ITSM modules.
- Strong knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Shell).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
