Summary: The ServiceNow Consultant/Developer role involves addressing ServiceNow-related issues, maintaining system performance, and developing various modules within the platform. This position is based in a public sector organization in Edinburgh/Glasgow and offers a hybrid working arrangement. The contract is initially for six months with the possibility of extension, and the role is classified as outside IR35. The consultant will also provide training and create documentation to support best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Resolution and escalation of ServiceNow related issues and risks.
• Proactive monitoring, maintenance and support of system performance, data, capacity and capability and recommending improvement opportunities.
• Training, guidance, and 'Show and Tell' sessions of developed solutions.
• Creating specialist knowledge and governance documentation to support best practices and developing standards for ServiceNow.
• Carry out patching activities.
• Managing upgrades, patches and system clones to the platform.
• Development of the following system modules: ITSM Module, Self Service Portal (with Flow Designer), CMDB & Foundation Data, Knowledge Management, HR Service Delivery, IRM as per the Service Enablement roadmap.

Key Skills:

• Experience of the current version of the ServiceNow platform.
• Able to demonstrate knowledge of the platform mechanics and best practices.
• Experience working with Import Sets, Transform Maps and Robust Transforms via IRE.
• Knowledge of CMDB, CSDM & Asset Management.
• Experience in development of at least one of the following: Self-Service Portal (beyond Catalogue Items), AD/Azure AD Integration, Scoped Applications.
• Strong teamwork, self-managing and self-initiative, coaching, collaboration and communication skills.
• HTML, XML, CSS & JSON.
• JavaScript development independent of and within the ServiceNow framework.
