Summary: The ServiceNow Developer will be instrumental in migrating the client's legacy IT service management platform to a modern ServiceNow environment. This role involves rebuilding ITSM processes, supporting platform configuration, and delivering integrations to facilitate a seamless transition. The developer will also be responsible for various technical tasks, including configuration, development, and troubleshooting within the ServiceNow platform. The position is a contract role for 6 months based in London and classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support migration activities from the existing PI7 platform to ServiceNow
- Analyse existing PI7 workflows, integrations, and processes and redesign them within ServiceNow
- Configure and develop ServiceNow ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management
- Support the development and maintenance of the CMDB and ServiceNow data model
- Build and maintain integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, MID Server, and Integration Hub
- Configure ServiceNow components including Flow Designer, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Service Catalog
- Develop inbound and outbound integrations with internal and third-party systems
- Support data migration, transformation, and validation activities during the migration process
- Perform unit testing, system testing, and support UAT activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow platform and integration issues
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver platform improvements
- Maintain technical documentation including configuration and integration designs
Key Skills:
- Strong experience working as a ServiceNow Developer or ServiceNow Engineer
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform development
- Experience implementing or customising ServiceNow ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, and CMDB
- Experience building integrations using REST, SOAP, or API-based integrations
- Experience using ServiceNow Flow Designer, Business Rules, and UI configurations
- Understanding of ServiceNow data models and CMDB structures
- Experience working with MID Server and Integration Hub
- Experience supporting platform migrations or large ServiceNow implementations
- Experience working with data migration and transformation between systems
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills within the ServiceNow platform
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments
- Experience collaborating with solution architects, engineers, and business stakeholders
