Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the current state of the CMDB and identify gaps in data quality, completeness, and accuracy.
- Design and implement a remediation plan to improve asset and configuration data.
- Map applications to underlying technologies and ensure accurate representation in ServiceNow.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align CMDB improvements with the broader ServiceNow transformation.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Lead workshops and training sessions to build internal capability and ensure adoption of best practices.
- Support the integration of ServiceNow modules such as IRM, Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, and TPR.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in ServiceNow CMDB remediation and configuration management.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow data models, asset classes, and discovery tools.
- Ability to identify and resolve data quality issues in complex environments.
- Experience working with ServiceNow modules related to risk and resilience is a plus.

Role Overview:
A client of ours is undergoing a major ServiceNow transformation and is seeking a ServiceNow CMDB Consultant to lead efforts around asset and configuration management. The CMDB (Configuration Management Database) is currently incomplete and contains data quality issues that pose a risk to the success of the wider transformation program. This role will be critical in remediating the CMDB, improving data accuracy, and ensuring readiness for the implementation of key ServiceNow modules.
What the Role is Looking For:
A hands-on expert in ServiceNow CMDB and asset management. Someone who can take ownership end-to-end of CMDB remediation and data quality improvement. A consultant with the technical depth to work within ServiceNow and the communication skills to engage stakeholders, run workshops, and provide training. A pragmatic problem-solver who can work within budget constraints and deliver value quickly.
