Summary: The IT Service Transition Manager will lead the final phase of service transition, ensuring effective service monitoring, cataloging, and provisioning. The role requires exceptional ITIL expertise and the ability to coordinate between development and support teams while managing risks and governance controls. The manager will also facilitate the necessary skills and documentation for operational teams to ensure a smooth transition. Current or previous SC clearance is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate service transition workstreams, coordinating between application development teams and BAU/TLS support teams.
  • Develop and agree on transition acceptance criteria for services and govern delivery against them.
  • Manage associated risks and oversee transition workstream teams through matrix management.
  • Establish and maintain transition governance controls to identify and mitigate risks or shortfalls.
  • Act as the Service Management lead for new services.
  • Work closely with project teams to provide operational teams with the necessary skills, tools, knowledge, and documentation.

Key Skills:

  • Exceptional ITIL experience with certification.
  • Strong background in service transition.
  • Ability to coordinate between application development and support teams.
  • Experience in developing transition acceptance criteria and managing risks.
  • Skills in matrix management and resource coordination.
  • Knowledge of transition governance controls.
