Our client is a well-established organisation embarking on a number of technology and business change initiatives.
As part of their continued transformation, they are looking to appoint an experienced Service Transition Manager to ensure new and changed services are successfully introduced into live operations.
Your new role
As a Service Transition Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring technology solutions are transitioned smoothly from project delivery into operational support.
Working across multiple stakeholders, you will be responsible for driving service readiness, coordinating handovers and ensuring appropriate support models are in place before go-live.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading service transition activities across multiple programmes and projects
- Defining and managing service readiness criteria
- Coordinating operational acceptance and service handover activities
- Managing transition risks, issues and dependencies
- Working closely with project, technical and operational teams
- Ensuring support documentation, training and knowledge transfer activities are completed
- Supporting change and release activities where required
- Driving continuous improvement across service transition processes
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience as a Service Transition Manager within complex IT environments
Strong understanding of service management and service transition principles
Experience working closely with project, infrastructure and support teams
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong planning, organisational and risk management capabilities
Experience managing multiple work streams simultaneously
Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
ITIL certification would be advantageous
