Key Responsibilities:
- Install and service pump stations and associated equipment.
- Document maintenance and repairs, including disconnecting and removing pumps.
- Conduct pump station refurbishments and upgrades.
- Obtain measurements and readings using volt and ohmmeters.
- Work safely within Health & Safety guidelines.
- Complete timesheets, job sheets, and expense sheets accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with team members and work outside of normal hours as needed.
- Pass DBS/Security checks and maintain CSCS certification.
Key Skills:

NHP?s head office and manufacturing facility is based in the Staffordshire, however we have a nationwide coverage with a large amount of work being in Central London and the surrounding Home Counties. Our key area of expertise is to offer tailor made systems and packages to suit all applications pertaining to the building services, civil / structural and water industries. This enables us to offer efficient and trouble free drainage and sewage solutions to aid the consultant in his design. Due to the organic growth the company we are looking to expand and add key staff to our Service, Repairs and Maintenance team.
The Role We seek a reliable, enthusiastic, flexible, experienced Service Repair and Maintenance Pump Engineer to join our team. Based from your home address, you will be working in London and the surrounding areas most of the time but you may be required to lodge out from time to time when necessary. Overtime is required with premium rates applying.
Experience & Key Skills Ideally, the successful applicant will have the following:
- Proven record of installing & servicing pump stations
- Previous experience in a mechanical field is an advantage
- Experience with construction site environments
- Electrical knowledge
- Experience of disconnecting and removing pumps, documenting all maintenance and repairs, fitting floats, stepping relays & general maintenance parts
- Obtaining measurements and readings using volt and ohmmeters
- Pump station refurbishment and upgrades.
- Knowledge of using lifting equipment & confined space equipment i.e., harnesses and man riding equipment, gas detectors
- Must have at least 2 Years? experience working within the same/similar field
Abilities
- Ability to complete accuratley timesheets, job sheets, van stock and expense sheets in a timely manner
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and to tight deadlines
- Ability to read both mechanical and electrical drawings
- Must be able to work safely, within Health & Safety guidelines
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to work outside of normal working hours
- Able to work in confined space areas (training provided if necessary)
- Pass DBS/Security checks at our client?s request.
