Summary: The Service Desk Engineer role focuses on supporting the deployment of Windows 11 within a prestigious organization on a 3-month contract basis. The position requires hands-on involvement in building, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop and laptop systems while providing user support both on-site and remotely. The role is based in Molesey and the City of London, with an immediate start date. The position is classified as inside IR35 due to the umbrella company arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing project support for the build and deployment of Windows 11.
- Building, configuring, and supporting desktops, laptops, and other equipment.
- Installing, configuring, and supporting software.
- Troubleshooting, escalating, and resolving issues related to user login, system configurations, software installations, and other technical matters.
- Providing support to users both on-site and remotely.
- Answering the Service Desk help line.
- Logging and managing Service Desk tickets.
- Creating documentation and sharing knowledge of systems and processes.
- Undertaking any other reasonable tasks as requested by your manager.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Windows 11 deployment and support.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with desktop and laptop hardware configuration.
- Familiarity with software installation and configuration.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
