Summary: The Service Desk Engineer role focuses on supporting a Windows 11 deployment project for a prestigious organization. The position requires hands-on involvement in building, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. The role is primarily on-site in Molesey and the City of London, with an immediate start date. This is a 3-month initial contract position with a daily rate of £285.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing project support for the build and deployment of Windows 11.
  • Building, configuring, and supporting desktops, laptops, and other equipment.
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting software.
  • Troubleshooting, escalating, and resolving issues related to user login, system configurations, software installations, and other technical matters.
  • Providing support to users both on-site and remotely.
  • Answering the Service Desk help line.
  • Logging and managing Service Desk tickets.
  • Creating documentation and sharing knowledge of systems and processes.
  • Undertaking any other reasonable tasks as requested by your manager.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in Windows 11 deployment and support.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with desktop and laptop hardware configuration.
  • Familiarity with software installation and configuration.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high-quality support.

Salary (Rate): £285
