Summary: The Service Desk Engineer role focuses on supporting the deployment of Windows 11 within a prestigious organization. The position requires hands-on involvement in building, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop and laptop systems. The role is on-site in Molesey and the City of London for an initial contract of three months. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to users and manage Service Desk tickets effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide project support for the build and deployment of Windows 11.
- Build, configure, and support desktops, laptops, and other equipment.
- Install, configure, and support software.
- Troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve issues related to user login, system configurations, and software installations.
- Provide support to users both on-site and remotely.
- Answer the Service Desk help line.
- Log and manage Service Desk tickets.
- Create documentation and share knowledge of systems and processes.
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by the manager.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Windows 11 deployment and support.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with desktop and laptop hardware configuration.
- Familiarity with software installation and configuration.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
