Summary: The role of Service Designer / Transition Lead involves leading the design, governance, and transition activities necessary to establish a compliant service model for a global IT consultancy. The position requires active SC Security Clearance and focuses on delivering service readiness in large transformation programs, particularly within telecoms environments. The contract is for three months with a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for both remote and office work in London. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in service design and a strong understanding of ITIL/ITSM frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate design, governance, business change, and transition activities.
- Establish a compliant service model aligned with contractual obligations.
- Create governance artifacts such as SHLD, RACI, and RTM.
- Deliver service readiness in large transformation programs.
- Develop process flow diagrams for ITSM processes (e.g., incident and change management).
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Facilitate business change, training, and adoption.
- Work with suppliers and third-party vendors.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Service Design / Service Transition roles.
- Strong understanding of ITIL / ITSM frameworks.
- Experience with governance artifacts (SHLD, RACI, RTM).

Service Designer / Transition Lead needed with active SC Security Clearance.
Experience the Design, Governance, Business Change and Transition activities required to establish a compliant Service Model aligned agreed obligations. Worked with Service High-Level Design (SHLD), RACI model, Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) & Business Change. Paying up to £450/day (Outside IR35). Start ASAP in May 2026 and rolling 3 month contract.
Hybrid Working - 2/3 days/week remote (WFH) + 2/3 days/week working from the office in London.
Working with a global IT Consultancy on large-scale network solutions projects for a Telecoms end client.
Key skills, experience + tasks will include:
- Proven experience in Service Design / Service Transition roles
- Strong understanding of ITIL / ITSM frameworks onboard resource to lead and coordinate the Design, Governance, Business Change and transition activities required to establish a compliant Service Model aligned to contractual obligations and customer approval.
- Process flow diagrams and process for each of the ITSM processes (e.g. incident and change management).
- Experience delivering service readiness in large transformation programmes
- Ability to create governance artefacts: SHLD (Service High-Level Design), RACI, RTM (Requirements Traceability Matrix)
- Experience with business change, training and adoption.
- Strong stakeholder management.
- Background in telecoms or large-scale enterprise environments preferred
- SC Security Clearance active is essential for this contract - SC used last 12 months.
