Summary: The Service Designer role involves enhancing the experience of internal users interacting with digital audit platforms within a global bank. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency in audit processes. The successful candidate will advocate for user-centered design and implement strategic service improvements. This role is critical in driving the transformation of audit services through innovative design practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end service design for audit digital applications, ensuring a seamless experience across digital touchpoints.
- Advocate for a user-centred mindset and promote design thinking practices across the audit transformation programme.
- A future-state audit process that eliminates manual workarounds and offline templates, driving greater consistency, adoption, and ease of use across global audit teams.
- Actionable insights based on direct engagement with end users, senior leaders, and technical stakeholders - captured through journey maps, pain point analysis, and service blueprints.
- Redesigned workflows that reduce audit cycle time, improve team productivity, and enable more time to be spent on risk-focused activities.
- Define key data needed and mandate data capture points in key audit processes, enabling structured data collection that supports analytics, thematic reporting, and future GenAI use cases.
- Clear design alignment across audit, technology, and data teams - ensuring process improvements can be delivered within our existing system and architectural roadmap.
- A prioritised set of tested, ready-to-implement recommendations with clear metrics to track impact on efficiency, adoption, data quality, and user satisfaction.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in service design, customer journey mapping, or UX strategy in a complex enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex systems or workflows, ideally in financial services or highly regulated industries.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills across business, technology, and compliance functions.
- Ability to translate insights into strategic service improvements and digital experiences.
- Experience with tools such as Miro, Figma, service blueprints, Adobe Suite, and research platforms.
- Understanding of audit, compliance, or governance processes is highly desirable.
- A degree or professional qualification in design, human-centred design, business analysis, or a related field.

As a service designer within the audit value stream, you will play a critical role in reimagining and improving the experience of our internal users (eg, auditors, audit managers, control functions) when interacting with digital audit platforms. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to simplify complex workflows, drive efficiency, and enhance confidence in the digital audit journey.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
