On behalf of The Home Office, we are looking for a Service Design and Transition Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12 Month contract based Hybrid in Croydon.

You will be joining a number of other Service Design and Transition Managers (SDTMs) working within the Service Architecture Design and Introduction (SADI) Function.

SDTMs in SADI will design and transition IT services that:

• Support business needs.
• Reuse existing service components.
• Are proportionate and affordable.
• Effectively span multiple suppliers, platforms, and support arrangements.

We are looking for individuals with a background in IT Service Management, and experience of successful Service Design and Transition.

As a Service Design and Transition Manager your main responsibilities will be to:

• Design and document new services. Ensuring that service design principles and standards are embedded into projects, and that comprehensive support arrangements are put in place.
• Produce comprehensive service designs, incorporating business requirements, wider standards, Enterprise Services capabilities, and external suppliers.
• Ensure that projects transition to live service in a safe and structured manner, engaging with project teams and Enterprise Services teams.
• Be part of the Home Office s SADI practice and will contribute to the definition of standards and continual service improvement.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.
• Strong background in IT Service Management.
• Proven experience of successful Service Design and Transition.
• Experience in ITIL aligned Service Management.
• Setting expectations and managing stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Experience in onboarding third party suppliers.
• Experience of Service Design and Transition in Medium to Large Organisations.
• Ability to embed service standards into complex projects ensuring reliable service delivery.

Desirable:

• Public Sector exposure.
• Experience of Agile development methodology.
• Existing SC Clearance.
