On behalf of The Home Office, we are looking for a Service Design and Transition Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12 Month contract based Hybrid in Croydon.
You will be joining a number of other Service Design and Transition Managers (SDTMs) working within the Service Architecture Design and Introduction (SADI) Function.
SDTMs in SADI will design and transition IT services that:
- Support business needs.
- Reuse existing service components.
- Are proportionate and affordable.
- Effectively span multiple suppliers, platforms, and support arrangements.
We are looking for individuals with a background in IT Service Management, and experience of successful Service Design and Transition.
As a Service Design and Transition Manager your main responsibilities will be to:
- Design and document new services. Ensuring that service design principles and standards are embedded into projects, and that comprehensive support arrangements are put in place.
- Produce comprehensive service designs, incorporating business requirements, wider standards, Enterprise Services capabilities, and external suppliers.
- Ensure that projects transition to live service in a safe and structured manner, engaging with project teams and Enterprise Services teams.
- Be part of the Home Office s SADI practice and will contribute to the definition of standards and continual service improvement.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.
- Strong background in IT Service Management.
- Proven experience of successful Service Design and Transition.
- Experience in ITIL aligned Service Management.
- Setting expectations and managing stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Experience in onboarding third party suppliers.
- Experience of Service Design and Transition in Medium to Large Organisations.
- Ability to embed service standards into complex projects ensuring reliable service delivery.
Desirable:
- Public Sector exposure.
- Experience of Agile development methodology.
- Existing SC Clearance.
