Service Delivery Manager (SC/Defence Engineering) - Contract - Hybrid working - £competitive
Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Service Delivery Manager to work at a leading defence client on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will work within a highly secure engineering programme, and will act as the interface between engineering teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective service delivery, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage a range of live services and technical incidents through to resolution, ensuring timely progression of tickets and clear stakeholder communication.
- Provide expert consultancy and guidance to the organisation's engineering community on service management best practices and process improvements.
- Review, map and optimise end-to-end business and technical processes to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive service performance, resolve complex issues, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Monitor service metrics, identify trends, and support continual service improvement initiatives.
Experience required:
- The ideal candidate will have strong Service Delivery Management experience, preferably gained within a Defence or secure environment.
- Excellent process mapping and business process improvement skills.
- Proven experience managing incidents, service requests, and technical support activities.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills with the ability to influence engineering teams.
- Ability to analyse issues, recommend pragmatic technical solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments is desirable.
- Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC).
