Summary: The Service Coordinator at Ingersoll Rand's Ace Group in Huddersfield is responsible for scheduling and deploying field service technicians and managing associated administrative tasks. This role focuses on optimizing service operations, ensuring timely parts delivery, and maintaining customer satisfaction while adhering to ISO 9001 standards. The Service Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the service team and contributing to overall operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the efficient work planning, dispatch, and coordination of service engineers to maximize utilization and billable hours.
- Manage parts ordering and delivery processes for planned and emergency service visits while minimizing local inventory holdings.
- Ensure service and contract administration activities are performed as required.
- Coordinate the movement, upkeep, utilization, and paid hire of rental units.
- Liaise with external suppliers to secure bought-in parts and services cost-effectively and timely.
- Open service activities, monitor Work In Progress, and process through to final invoicing or appropriate closing stage.
- Manage and resolve invoicing queries and disputes.
- Operate all service functions within the ISO 9001 quality standard, including Method Statements & Risk Assessments.
- Work closely with the Services Manager to maintain customer satisfaction and address problematic issues effectively.
- Assist with internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
- Support the Sales/Service Team with service contract review meetings and WIP lists.
- Add warranty claims and correspond with the warranty team to progress claims.
Key Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of Protean SAP is highly beneficial.
- Experience in a field service planning/coordination role preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship building skills.
- Flexibility, initiative, and willingness to drive change in processes and systems.
- Good written and numeric skills.
