Service Charge Accountant

Summary: The Service Charge Accountant role involves providing Accounts Payable services for a group, with a focus on meticulous detail and teamwork. This position is an 8-month fixed-term contract based in Central London, offering a salary of £45,000. The successful candidate will handle purchase invoices, resolve queries, and assist with payment processes and VAT returns. The role emphasizes the importance of communication and adherence to procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Accounts Payable services for the Group
• Register/input purchase invoices and action returned invoices from Agresso Workflow
• Resolve internal coding queries and ensure external queries are resolved promptly
• Follow procedures and timetable, liaise with off-site teams
• Ensure proper and timely filing of documents, assist with the payment processes
• Conduct supplier statement reconciliations and preparation of quarterly VAT returns

Key Skills:

• Prior use of Agresso Business World (Unit 4) is advantageous
• Good knowledge of Accounts Payable ledger and payment cycles and systems
• Experience at dealing with internal and external queries
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Adherence to procedure, reliable and productive
• Meticulous attention to detail, good communication skills
• Ability to use own initiative, excellent teamwork approach
• Good multitasking skills
