Summary: The Service Architect role involves leading the Service Architecture for a significant NHS transformation programme, focusing on shaping solutions during procurement and ensuring effective service delivery across a multi-supplier environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Support bid and tender activities, shaping the service solution and operating model
- Define the target operating model and service management framework
- Lead Service Architecture across all programme workstreams
- Chair the Service Architecture Board
- Design and govern ITSM and Enterprise Service Management capabilities
- Define SIAM and multi-supplier operating models
- Develop service schedules, SLAs, OLAs and supplier performance frameworks
- Ensure operational readiness and service acceptance requirements are met
- Drive service governance across technology and business operations
- Work closely with the Technical Architect and Transition Manager to ensure joined-up service delivery
Key Skills:
- Significant Service Architecture experience within complex transformation programmes
- Deep understanding of ITIL, ITSM and Enterprise Service Management
- Experience designing and governing services across multi-supplier environments
- SIAM experience
- Experience managing service-related contractual obligations and service levels
- Knowledge of GDPR, information governance, security and operational resilience
- Experience operating within highly regulated environments
- Strong governance and stakeholder management capabilities
- NHS England, NHS Digital or healthcare transformation experience (highly desirable)
- Supplier-side experience within a consultancy, systems integrator or managed service provider (highly desirable)
- Experience supporting bids, procurements and large-scale mobilisation activities (highly desirable)

We are supporting a major NHS opportunity and seeking an experienced Service Architect to help shape the winning solution during procurement before leading Service Architecture across a major national transformation programme. You will provide strategic leadership across service design, service management, and operational readiness, ensuring services are designed to operate effectively across a complex multi-supplier environment spanning records management, logistics, warehousing, transport, customer operations and supporting technology platforms. You will chair the Service Architecture Board and be accountable for Service Architecture governance, standards, and decision-making across multiple workstreams and suppliers.
