Server Administrator

Summary: The Server Administrator role involves building and configuring instances of a single seat trainer, documenting the design and configuration, and managing update processes. The position requires collaboration with customers to address any build or design issues. Proficiency in Windows Server 2019 and various server management tasks is essential, along with a good understanding of networking concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build 3 instances of a single seat trainer to agreed design
• Document said design and the configuration used
• Write an update process for when the built machines are requested to be updated when being utilised
• Work with customer through any build/design/process issues

Key Skills:

• Windows Server 2019 Administration
• Domain Management (Domain/Forest config, Users, GPO's etc)
• SMB/NFS File Server management
• WSUS
• DNS
• SQL
• Good understanding of basic networking, DHCP, PXE building, Powershell
• Ansible (ideally)
• Terraform (not vital)
• UNIX would be good
• Azure and CICD pipelines
• Hands-on hardware experience
