The Role
This is a hands-on SEO and content role with a clear mandate: make LSW rank, and turn that visibility into leads.
You'll own search end to end, from the technical health of the website through to the content strategy that gets our service pages to the top of Google and, increasingly, into AI answers.
The heart of the job is a proven playbook: get the technical foundations right, then build pillar-and-spoke content around each core service page so it ranks for the searches that matter.
Our public speaking page, for example, should be supported by a family of blogs targeting everything from overcoming stage fright to wedding speeches, all pointing back to the pillar and pushing it up the rankings.
And because AI is changing how people find us, this role has one foot in the future.
AI optimisation (AEO) is still mostly SEO underneath, but the ~20% that's different matters, and you'll be the person who makes sure LSW shows up in AI answers over the next 6 to 12 months.
You'll also carry a slice of marketing BAU (around 25% of the role): newsletters, a handful of campaigns a year, and managing our PPC agency, who bid on exactly the keywords you'll be ranking for organically.
One clear view of what's working across paid and organic.
What You'll Own
- Our core website , especially the service pages: on-page SEO, structure, keywords, and conversion
- The technical foundations : audit and monitor the back end, catch issues that stop pages ranking, and brief our developers to fix them fast
- The pillar-and-spoke content engine : plan, create, and rank supporting blog content around each service page (think 5 blogs a month)
- AEO / AI optimisation : understand the language AI models speak, reflect it across our pages, and turn our SEO strength into AI visibility
- PR alignment : work with our PR agency to land coverage on the topics we want to rank for, so authority and rankings compound
- Our PPC agency : same keywords, same intent, one joined-up view of paid and organic
- Marketing BAU : newsletters, website updates, and around three campaigns a year
Who You Are
- ~5 years of hands-on SEO experience with strong content marketing alongside it.
- You might call yourself an SEO content manager, SEO marketing manager, or SEO lead
- Agency-trained, ideally.
- A year or two in a specialist SEO or content agency tells us you can hit deadlines, deliver results, and cut through noise
- A content strategist who drives results: you don't just publish blogs, you rank them, and you can show the traffic and leads that followed
- Technically fluent: you can diagnose what's holding a site back (crawlability, JavaScript issues, site structure) and brief developers clearly
- Ahead of the curve on AI search: you know AEO is mostly SEO in a trench coat, and you're already thinking about the 20% that isn't
- Fluent in the stack: GA4, GSC, WordPress, Semrush
- A self-starter who owns outcomes: given a clear goal, you know what to do first and you get on with it
- Genuinely curious about people, behaviour, and what great communication can do
Nice to Have
- Experience working alongside PR or digital PR for link-building and authority
- Hands-on experience with AEO / LLM visibility tools and testing
- Google Ads experience (even if you won't be running it hands-on)
- An interest in psychology, coaching, education or human performance
What Success Looks Like
- Our core service pages on page one and climbing quarter on quarter.
- A content library that drives qualified organic leads.
- LSW showing up in AI-generated answers for our core topics.
- Paid and organic pulling in the same direction.
