Summary: The SEO Content Designer role involves creating discoverable and scalable content across multiple markets, focusing on SEO and LLM trends. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design content systems and structures that support omnichannel delivery and machine readability, including use of metadata, tagging, and schema markup.
  • Develop SEO and GEO-informed content frameworks, ensuring content is optimized for global search visibility, multilingual markets, and local relevance.
  • Model and author content for LLMs, ensuring clarity, context, and structure that can be easily interpreted and surfaced by AI tools.
  • Collaborate with UX, design, and development teams to integrate structured content patterns.
  • Define and implement metadata strategies to enhance discoverability and AI retrievability.
  • Future-proof content by adopting principles of semantic content design, structured data, and platform-agnostic publishing.
  • Optimise content performance by partnering with analytics, research and SEO teams to measure performance, intent alignment, and visibility.
  • Maintain documentation, governance, and scalable content models that support efficiency and consistency.
  • Create content that aligns with the broader strategy and author that content in Contentful.

Key Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in Content Design, UX Writing, or Content Strategy.
  • Strong expertise in SEO fundamentals and modern semantic search.
  • Experience with GEO/global content, localisation workflows, and writing for global audiences.
  • Comfortable working with structured content, metadata, and headless CMS environments.
  • Skilled at creating scalable content patterns and systems.
  • Ability to explain content decisions clearly and advocate for users and global considerations.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with schema markup / structured data (JSON-LD) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with writing content for AI/LLM consumption or retrieval is a plus.
  • Background in accessibility (WCAG), plain language, and inclusive design is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in complex organisations with many stakeholders and markets.

SEO Content Designer

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced SEO Content Designer to join our client, who has their finger on the pulse of emerging GEO, SEO and LLM trends to help us create content that is discoverable, scalable, and effective across all markets. Your ambition will be to increase visibility of the client brand across non-owned channels in 5+ markets, driving awareness and traffic, and making sure that we’re part of the conversation far beyond traditional SERPs. Content Designers at client are “full stack”, meaning you’ll be responsible both for designing content and for authoring/managing it in our CMS.

Our client is currently looking for a new recruit in joining their team, please read on! You can also ask our friendly recruitment team any questions you may have about the role, between 8:30am-5:30pm Monday to Friday.

Shifts: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with UX, design, and development teams to integrate structured content patterns (e.g., headless CMS models, component libraries).
  • Define and implement metadata strategies — including taxonomy, schema.org, and entity tagging — to enhance discoverability and AI retrievability.
  • Future-proof content by adopting principles of semantic content design, structured data, and platform-agnostic publishing.
  • Optimise content performance by partnering with analytics, research and SEO teams to measure performance, intent alignment, and visibility across both traditional and generative search platforms.
  • Maintain documentation, governance, and scalable content models that support efficiency and consistency.
  • Create content that aligns with our broader strategy and author that content in Contentful

Must Have Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in Content Design, UX Writing, or Content Strategy.

This role provides a remote working access from the comforts of your own home and only going to our state-of-the-art office in London Victoria 2 days per week.
