Summary: The Senior Full-Stack Web Application Developer will play a crucial role in migrating a leading eCommerce platform to the ASP.NET MVC5 framework while advancing towards a cloud-native architecture. This contract position requires expertise in developing scalable and secure web applications, with a focus on high coding standards and best practices. The role demands collaboration in architectural discussions and mentoring team members to ensure code quality and maintainability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in eCommerce and enterprise web applications, particularly with ASP.NET MVC5, C#, and React.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex web solutions using ASP.NET MVC 5, C#, and React
  • Support migration activities, ensuring clean architecture, scalable design, and efficient implementation
  • Produce secure, maintainable, scalable, and fault-tolerant code following SOLID principles and OO design patterns
  • Contribute to Front End development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern React components
  • Participate in architectural discussions and propose improvements
  • Participate in code reviews, mentoring team members and ensuring consistency and maintainability
  • Manage source control, branching, and deployments using GitLab or Azure pipelines
  • Integrate and maintain third-party services and APIs
  • Ensure smooth and stable release cycles across multiple websites and environments
  • Deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable code aligned with architectural standards

Key Skills:

  • Extensive development experience with a strong track record in bespoke eCommerce and enterprise web applications projects
  • Proven expertise on C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, SQL Server, Entity Framework
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and React experience
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and common design patterns
  • Experience working with RESTful API design and integration; SOAP WebServices and XML/XPath
  • Skilled in using IoC containers (Autofac, Ninject) and unit testing frameworks
  • Experienced with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines (GitLab, Azure DevOps, TeamCity)
  • Proven experience working in Agile environments
  • Understanding of application and database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization techniques

CPS Group UK are delighted to be working with a leading, globally recognized eCommerce brand to appoint a seasoned Senior Full-Stack Web Application Developer to play a key role in the migration of their eCommerce platform and microsites into ASP.NET MVC5 framework, along the roadmap towards a cloud-native architecture.

The Senior Web Application Developer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure web applications that deliver complex solutions seamlessly across multiple platforms.

Role Requirements
