Title: Senior Volunteering Learning Designer

Location: Gilwell Park (Hybrid) or Home-based

Contract: Two-year fixed-term

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary £37,800 per annum – Band F Level 3 (Home-based)

£39,560 per annum – Band F Level 3 (Gilwell-based, inclusive of Outer London Weighting)

Location and attendance expectations: For a Gilwell-based contract, there is an expectation to attend the office one day per week, plus one additional day per month for collaboration with the wider team. For a home-based contract, there is an expectation to attend the office approximately once per month.

About The Role

You’ll lead learning design activity across volunteering, ensuring our learning offer is engaging, accessible and learner-centred. You’ll manage a small team and work closely with volunteers and colleagues across the organisation to deliver high-quality learning experiences that make a real difference for young people. Some evening or weekend working may be required to engage with volunteers.

What you’ll do as our Senior Volunteering Learning Designer

  • Lead and line manage two Learning Designers, supporting high-quality delivery and professional development
  • Own the quality of volunteering learning content, ensuring alignment with organisational values and design principles
  • Use our Learning Experience System to deliver engaging, personalised learning journeys
  • Work with volunteers to co-design, test and improve learning content
  • Continuously improve learning design processes and ways of working
