  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external partners and senior leadership

Key Skills:

  • MRICS qualification and Registered Valuer status
  • Strong experience producing valuations across multiple asset classes
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, solution focused approach and the confidence to influence decision makers
  • Previous public sector experience is desirable but not essential

Hays is partnering with a leading London local authority to recruit a Senior Valuation Surveyor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing property team responsible for managing, valuing and optimising a diverse and high profile portfolio across the borough.
Your new role

As Senior Valuation Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely valuations to support strategic decision making across the council. You will work across a broad range of asset types-including operational buildings, commercial investments, land, and development opportunities-providing professional advice that directly contributes to the borough's long term financial sustainability.
You will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking RICS compliant valuations for statutory, financial reporting and strategic purposes
  • Managing a varied caseload of operational and investment assets
  • Providing professional advice on acquisitions, disposals, and asset reviews
  • Supporting the development and implementation of asset management strategies

You will be an experienced valuation professional with:
  • MRICS qualification and Registered Valuer status.
