Summary: The Senior UX & Service Designer role is a 13-month contract position focused on creating user-centered digital services for a public sector client. The candidate will integrate design thinking with back-end development expertise to ensure seamless user experiences and technical robustness. Collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams is essential to align services with strategic goals and deliver impactful digital solutions. The position requires a balance of design, research, and technical skills to enhance service delivery in accordance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead UX, UI, and service design to ensure engaging user experiences.
  • Conduct user research and translate insights into design solutions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs adhering to accessibility standards.
  • Define and own end-to-end service design for smooth Front End and Back End interactions.
  • Develop and maintain design systems for consistency across platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and developers to align services with strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain Back End systems and APIs for user interactions.
  • Work with technologies like Node.js and Python to build secure solutions.
  • Implement automated workflows and CI/CD pipelines for deployment efficiency.
  • Use data analytics to evaluate and refine services and improve user experience.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to design and implement services.
  • Lead design critiques and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.

Key Skills:

  • Expertise in UX, UI, and service design.
  • Strong background in Back End development (Node.js, Python).
  • Experience with user research methodologies and data analytics.
  • Proficiency in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).
  • Ability to define and manage design systems.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
