Summary: The role of Senior User Researcher involves leading user research initiatives to enhance digital services for a public sector client. The position requires a strategic approach to understanding user needs through various research methodologies. The successful candidate will collaborate with design teams to translate insights into actionable features. This is a hybrid role based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow for an initial 4-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct user research using various strategies to test new ideas and concepts.
- Review and synthesize primary and secondary research material.
- Generate actionable insights to improve products/services for users.
- Support the setup of tools for efficient insight documentation.
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to develop focused research strategies.
Key Skills:
- Experience in user-centred research methods and participant recruitment.
- Collaboration with service design and UX design disciplines.
- Planning and conducting interviews and workshops with users and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing competing priorities.
- Experience leading online meetings, webinars, and events.
- Track record in project management environments.
