Summary: The Senior UX Researcher will join as a contractor to support a global strategic project, focusing on mixed quantitative and qualitative research methods, with an emphasis on strong quantitative skills. The role involves leading independent research projects, contributing to research standards, and supporting research operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in user research and a proven ability to synthesize findings into actionable insights. The position is set to start in January, with a review of applications occurring the week of January 5th.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead independent, end-to-end foundational research projects with a strong focus on quantitative surveys.
- Design and run research studies to support feature prioritisation frameworks across multiple markets.
- Conduct information architecture research and moderated/unmoderated design testing across teams.
- Synthesise and develop a recommendations framework to inform global product owners on research findings.
- Contribute to and help evolve the global research playbook, establishing standards and best practices.
- Partner with designers to support design-led research and provide guidance on methods and study design.
- Support the development of a research repository and UX research backlog.
- Ensure research tools are used within budget constraints.
Key Skills:
- 6+ years of user research experience with both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Experience in designing and leading large-scale quantitative surveys.
- Hands-on experience with information architecture methods, including tree testing and card sorting.
- Strong experience with moderated and unmoderated usability testing in an Agile environment.
- Familiarity with UX metrics and benchmarking, including SUS and task completion rate.
- Ability to synthesise findings into actionable insights for product and design decisions.
- Experience with platforms like UserZoom, Maze, or Optimal Workshop is a plus.
- Knowledge of product market fit, KANO, or other feature prioritisation methods is desirable.

Senior UX Researcher – Contract (outside IR35) January Start
We need a Contractor to join us as a UX Researcher to support a global strategic project with a focus on mixed quantitative and qualitative research methods, particularly strong quantitative skills.
Here's the experience we expect you to possess:
- 6+ years of user research experience with direct, hands-on experience in both qualitative and quantitative methods
- Demonstrated experience in designing and leading large-scale quantitative surveys across large samples
- Hands-on experience with information architecture methods, including tree testing and card sorting
- Strong experience with moderated and unmoderated usability testing in an Agile delivery environment
- Deep familiarity with UX metrics and benchmarking, including SUS, task completion rate, SEQ and related usability and performance measures
- Ability to synthesise quantitative and qualitative findings into clear, actionable insights that information product and design decisions at scale
Nice to have:
- Experience with platforms like UserZoom, Maze or Optimal Workshop
- Familiarity with advanced quantitative analysis or a strong background in statistics
- Knowledge of product market fit, KANO, or other feature prioritisation methods or frameworks
Here's what you’ll be doing:
Hands-on UX Research Projects (70% Capacity)
- Lead independent, end-to-end foundational research projects with a strong focus on quantitative surveys
- Design and run research studies to support feature prioritisation frameworks across multiple markets
- Support additional strategic, foundational projects as the program(s) evolve
- Conduct information architecture research across multiple markets and moderated and unmoderated design testing across design and delivery teams
- Synthesise and develop a recommendations framework to inform global product owners on research findings to support product decisions
Research Process and Standards (20% Capacity)
- Contribute to and help evolve the global research playbook, establishing standards, templates, best practices for high-quality research
- Partner with designers to support and enable design-led research, providing guidance on methods, study design and interpretation of results
- Ensure alignment with UX metrics, frameworks, and organisational standards
Research Operations (10% Capacity)
- Support the development of a research repository and UX research backlog
- Ensure research tools are being used within budget constraints
