Summary: A Senior User Experience Designer is sought for a government client to lead the design of accessible and inclusive services. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead analysis of complex user needs and service problems, translating insights into evidence-based design direction.
- Provide expert design leadership and assurance, shaping patterns, standards, and approaches across services.
- Identify and address systemic usability and accessibility issues, influencing others to improve service quality.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders, clearly communicating design rationale and outcomes.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience as a Senior User Experience Designer within a government/public sector environment.
- Ability to speak on behalf of technical teams and facilitate relationships with indirect stakeholders.
- Understanding of governance and its requirements.
- Able to apply strategy using patterns, standards, policies, and vision statements.
- Proficient in designing services and interactions with managed levels of risk and complexity.
- Ability to understand trends and practices outside the team and consider patterns on a larger scale.

A Senior User Experience Designer is required for our Government client to lead the design of usable, accessible and inclusive government services.
You will be required to lead analysis of complex user needs and service problems, translating insight into clear, evidence-based design direction
Provide expert design leadership and assurance, shaping patterns, standards and approaches across services
Identify and address systemic usability and accessibility issues, influencing others to improve service quality
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders, clearly communicating design rationale and outcomes
Skills and Experience required:
Possess previous experience as a Senior User Experience Designer within a government/public sector environment
As the Senior User Experience Designer you will speak on behalf of the technical teams and facilitate relationships with indirect stakeholders
Have an understanding of governance and how it works and what governance is required
Able to apply strategy using patterns, standards, policies and roadmaps and vision statements
Able to translate organisational goals into usable, accessible and inclusive design solutions. Proficient in designing services and interactions with managed levels of risk and complexity, using well understood patterns and standards appropriately.
Be able to understand trends and practices outside the team and can consider the patterns and interactions on a larger scale.
