Summary: The Senior UX Designer at the University of the Arts London (UAL) will lead the user experience practice, focusing on user-centered design for digital products and services. This role involves enhancing existing products, managing and coaching other UX designers, and establishing UX standards across the team. The position is part of a strategic initiative to improve the digital experience for students and staff, emphasizing social purpose and collaboration. This is a new role within a three-year fixed-term contract aimed at fostering a seamless digital experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead UX design services and enhance existing digital products.
- Line manage and coach other UX designers within the team.
- Develop data-driven processes to ensure UX effectiveness and alignment with agile methodologies.
- Establish and embed UX, design, research, and accessibility standards across the team.
- Champion the evolution and implementation of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary agile teams to deliver user-centered solutions.
- Actively participate in the design community within Digital and Technology, providing coaching and mentoring support.
