Summary: The Senior Test Manager for Corporate Banking Transformation will lead testing and assurance activities for a large-scale transformation project within a FTSE-listed financial services firm. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all testing and assurance activities across the corporate banking transformation programme.
  • Define and execute end-to-end testing strategy across SIT, UAT, OAT, and Business Acceptance Testing (BAT).
  • Act as the single point of accountability for programme-level test assurance.
  • Manage integrated testing across multiple workstreams and a matrixed team.
  • Provide independent go/no-go recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Influence and engage senior stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of testing outcomes.
  • Oversee defect management, risk prioritisation, and operational readiness in regulated environments.

Key Skills:

  • 7+ years leading test activity in large-scale financial services transformation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end banking journeys and commercial/corporate banking operations.
  • Extensive experience managing testing in complex, multi-platform integration environments.
  • Ability to define and execute programme-level test strategies (SIT, UAT, OAT, BAT).
  • Experience leading matrixed teams, including third-party test providers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills up to Executive level.
  • Degree educated or higher from a leading academic institution.

Senior Test Manager – Corporate Banking Transformation

A FTSE-listed financial services firm are launching a new set of products aimed at the mid-market corporate banking clients and as such are engaged on a large-scale, multi-platform transformation spanning technology, operations, and client-facing capabilities. They require a Senior Test Manager / Programme Test Manager to lead all testing and assurance activities across the programme, ensuring each release is robust, compliant, and ready for market.

You will be responsible for defining and executing the end-to-end testing strategy across SIT, UAT, OAT, and Business Acceptance Testing (BAT), acting as the single point of accountability for programme-level test assurance. You will lead integrated testing across multiple workstreams, manage a matrixed team, and provide independent go/no-go recommendations to senior leadership. This is a high-visibility position requiring strong leadership, deep domain expertise, and the ability to operate confidently across both technology and operations.

Candidate Requirements

  • 7+ years leading test activity across large-scale financial services transformation programmes
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end banking journeys and commercial/corporate banking operations
  • Extensive experience managing testing in complex, multi-platform integration environments
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute programme-level test strategies (SIT, UAT, OAT, BAT)

This is a £650-700/day PAYE role (only subject to employee tax deductions; c.f £815 umbrella). Initially for six months but on a multi-year initiative. Based London. Largely on-site/in-office requirement.
