Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement a comprehensive testing strategy for microservices or APIs.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cucumber for integration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers in an Agile environment to identify issues.
- Analyse test results, identify functional & non-functional issues, and provide recommendations.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Skills:
- Extensive Typescript experience.
- Experience in software testing, with a focus on manual testing and test automation.
- Experience in NodeJS frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress or other NodeJS automation frameworks in JavaScript.
- Solid experience with Cucumber and BDD (Behaviour-Driven Development) practices.
- Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines, using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
- A good working knowledge of non-functional skills such as performance, accessibility & security.
- AWS, Grafana, Splunk skills.

Synapri are working with a leading Public Sector department to hire a Senior Automation Test Analyst on a 12 month contract and on a hybrid basis with 3 days per week required in Leeds. This position will be Inside IR35 and require SC clearance to be actively held or be eligible to be obtained.
This key responsibilities for this role are:
- Test Strategy & Planning: Define and implement a comprehensive testing strategy for microservices or APIs
- Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cucumber for integration with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers in an Agile environment to identify issues
- Analysis & Reporting: Analyse test results, identify functional & non-functional issues, and provide recommendations.
- Tooling & Frameworks: Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
The key skills the client are looking for are:
