Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test strategies, procedures and test solutions.
- Support the design, integration and commissioning of test systems.
- Perform hands-on laboratory testing, measurement and diagnostics.
- Work with electrical and electro-optical test instrumentation and analyse test data.
- Support integration, verification and validation activities.
- Interpret product-level test requirements and contribute to structured engineering processes.
- Produce and review technical documentation, test procedures and user instructions.
- Work collaboratively with hardware, software, optical and systems engineers.
Essential Experience
- HND or higher in Systems, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
- Practical experience in one or more of: Electrical testing, Electro-optics, Environmental testing, Acoustic testing, Hands-on lab-based testing, diagnostics and measurement.
- Good understanding of test instrumentation and data analysis.
- Experience working within structured engineering lifecycles/processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organisation.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- SC clearance or ability to obtain SC clearance.
Desirable
- LabVIEW, MATLAB or similar test software
- Soldering experience
- Mechanical design and STTE
- Industry-standard ECAD tools
- Understanding of environmental effects on hardware performance
