Summary: The Senior Test Engineer role focuses on ensuring the quality and performance of critical cloud-native services within the AWS Java Testing team. This hands-on position involves leading functional testing, developing automated tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of both API and UI testing, as well as AWS environments. The position is hybrid, requiring team presence on specific days in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute functional testing across REST APIs, databases (both RDS and NoSQL), and web UIs.
- Develop and maintain automated tests for both UI and API layers.
- Collaborate with developers and DevOps to ensure test coverage across cloud-native workflows.
- Use test frameworks and tools to support continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Engage with team members across locations to support shared quality goals.
Key Skills:
- Functional testing experience across REST APIs, relational (RDS) and NoSQL databases, and UI testing frameworks such as Cypress and Puppeteer.
- AWS experience, including Lambda, EC2, Step Functions, and CodePipeline.
- Strong automation skills for both API and UI testing.
- Proficiency in Java (REST APIs are Java-based).
- Solid experience with JavaScript.
