Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, and maintain Teradata-based data solutions to support enterprise-scale data warehousing and analytics platforms.
- Implement and optimize Teradata utilities such as BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT for efficient, high-performance data ingestion and transformation.
- Support the modernisation and migration of on-premise Teradata environments to cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Contribute to the design of data integration pipelines and orchestration across diverse systems using tools such as Informatica, Apache Airflow, or native cloud services.
Key Skills:
- Deep expertise in Teradata architecture, including SQL optimisation, data modelling (star/snowflake schemas), and performance tuning (TASM, partitioning).
- Proficient in Teradata utilities such as BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, and experienced with Viewpoint, Query Grid, TD Stats, and TDWM.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and experience working across large-scale, complex environments.
- Proven experience in Teradata cloud transformation, particularly within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with other data warehouse technologies such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Azure Synapse is highly beneficial.

Hamilton Barnes are working with a leading enterprise organisation undergoing a major data and systems overhaul, and they're looking for a Senior Teradata specialist to join the team on an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension.
This role is INSIDE IR35 and requires 2 days per week onsite in a collaborative and dynamic office environment.
You'll play a critical role in optimising large-scale data environments, driving ETL performance, and supporting the architecture of next-gen enterprise analytics platforms.
