Summary: The Senior Technical Safety Engineer will join the Assurance & Integrity team on a PAYE contract basis, focusing on delivering the Technical Safety workplan and managing major hazard assessments for three offshore assets. This role requires collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and Projects, along with occasional offshore travel. The position is critical for ensuring Safety Case compliance and supporting various safety assessments. The contract is initially for 12 months based in Aberdeen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the Technical Safety workplan and provide day-to-day support to operations across Buzzard, Scott, and Golden Eagle assets.
- Manage Safety Case compliance, COMOPS notifications, and QRA models.
- Lead and participate in formal safety assessments including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and other MAH-related studies.
- Develop and maintain Performance Standards and conduct availability and reliability studies for SECEs.
- Apply ALARP and Process Safety Management principles across all technical safety activities.
- Liaise with offshore personnel through regular site visits to ensure alignment and support.
- Represent the company during regulator inspections and contribute to relevant external industry workgroups.
- Address findings from audits, inspections, and Independent Competent Person (ICP) verification activities.
- Manage scopes of work with third-party technical safety consultants.
- Support the Engineering Management of Change process and TAR activities.
Key Skills:
- Degree in Engineering or relevant scientific discipline (essential).
- Chartered Engineer status (desirable).
- Significant experience in Technical or Process Safety within the oil and gas sector.
- Proven expertise in managing Major Accident Hazard risk and Safety Case compliance.
- Strong knowledge of UK offshore regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound, risk-based decisions in complex environments.

Qualifications and Experience:
