Senior Technical Project Manager - Utilities
Location: Reading (3 days per week onsite)
Rate: £600 per day (Inside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to join a major organisation within the utilities sector, delivering complex technology and systems integration projects.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent delivery management skills and experience managing third-party suppliers and internal technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of complex technical projects involving multiple systems and integrations.
- Manage technical dependencies, risks, milestones and delivery timelines.
- Hold third-party suppliers and internal delivery teams accountable for project outcomes.
- Work closely with Solution Architects to ensure architectural decisions are aligned with delivery objectives.
- Provide strong governance, structure and delivery rigour across technical workstreams.
- Engage and challenge senior technical stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Technical Project Manager or Technical Delivery Manager.
- Strong understanding of systems integration and complex IT environments.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and cross-functional technical teams.
- Ability to work closely with architects and challenge technical decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and project delivery skills.
- Previous utilities sector experience highly desirable.
