Senior Technical Architect
Rate: £590 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Blackpool (3 days per week on site)
Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required
Contract: 6 months contract
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Architect to play a pivotal role in driving a major digital and security transformation agenda for our client
You will be responsible for translating complex enterprise requirements into secure, resilient, and future-proof architectures while guiding critical services away from Legacy infrastructure and technical debt
Key Responsibilities
- Architect Enterprise Security Capabilities: Lead the design and governance of robust security architectures across complex estate environments.
- Zero Trust Adoption: Champion Zero Trust architecture principles and drive execution roadmaps.
- Security Modernisation: Align technical designs with NIST, CIS, and Secure-by-Design principles to actively eliminate security-related technical
- Cloud Migration and Strategy: Drive the end-to-end migration architecture for critical digital services and identity platforms from Legacy environments into modern cloud platforms.
- Enterprise Identity Strategy: Guide the architectural evolution of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM/IGA).
- RBAC and Authorization: Establish advanced Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) frameworks, compliance controls, and authorization mechanisms.
Essential Skills and Experience
- SC Clearance must be active - must have lived in the UK for the last 5 years to be eligible
- Proven track record as a Senior Technical Architect, operating within a public sector or government environment.
- Deep experience in enterprise cyber security architecture, including Zero Trust, PUAM, identity controls, and frameworks (NIST, CIS, Secure-by-Design).
- Solid hands-on capability in cloud hosting transformations, hybrid multi-cloud solutions, and identity platform migrations while reducing Legacy technical debt.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with a demonstrable ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and guide cross-programme security initiatives.
