Role: Senior Technical Architect
Contract Length: part time based on 30 working days across the period -to end 31 July 2026. Adhoc working as agreed with hiring manager on weekly/monthly basis
Location: Corsham - expenses for travelling will be allocated.
Enterprise PKI (Public Key Infrastructure experience)

Description:

The Senior Solution Architect will work across multiple products, projects or teams on problems that require broad architectural thinking. The role involves responsibility for the technical design of systems and services, and requires the ability to justify and communicate design decisions. A strong technical or development background is required along with the ability to discuss the details of a broad range of industry-standard technologies, across both proprietary and open-source technology stacks. The role involves assuring other services and system quality, making sure the technical work fits into the broader strategy for government as well as exploring the benefits of cross-government alignment and providing mentoring within teams and provide support to other architects.

Background
DD Requires a Senior Technical Architect to assist with the technical implementation of public key infrastructure elements on a sensitive project.
Task
1. To review and assure the suppliers solution against defined requirements enabling traceability of the requirements.
2. To support and provide advice to the supplier in the production of the required technical documentation against defined business and technology requirements.
3. To support and provide advice on the implementation of the technical capability to meet defined requirements and outputs.
4. To provide knowledge transfer to the supplier, where identified and agreed.
5. To provide the Authority with verbal and written reports at agreed milestones of the technical implementation and the agreed success criteria.
6. To input to the supplier and Authority risk register.
7. To manage any Authority identified risk for the solution to a successful conclusion.
8. To support the testing of the solution with internal and external parties.
9. When and if required to interface with other stakeholders external to the project.
10. To provide the Authority with a report on the level of knowledge transfer required and method of knowledge transfer to be undertaken.
