Summary: The Senior Tax Accountant at Informa will play a crucial role in the Global Tax & Financial Accounting team, focusing on the preparation and filing of tax returns and statutory accounts while managing treasury functions. This position requires effective communication and relationship-building skills to deliver high-quality financial information to stakeholders. The role is initially a 12-month contract with the potential for a permanent position in 2026. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with tax obligations and maintain excellent service standards within set deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of allocated corporation tax returns (UK and overseas).
  • Ensure overseas Corporate Tax compliance obligations are met, including filing and payment deadlines.
  • Review balance sheet tax-related reconciliations by set deadlines.
  • Assist in the tax provisioning process and support accounting teams with year-end, interim, and month-end tax accounting and reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation and finalization of draft tax disclosures in UK statutory financial statements.
  • Monitor postings made to tax accounts and ensure all journals are supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Assist with training the team and providing WHT guidance, including approvals of write-offs.
  • Maintain accurate working papers and documentation in accordance with department policy.
  • Liaise with tax advisors, both overseas and UK, as required.
  • Address Tax authority queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with relevant project work (e.g., acquisitions, disposals, restructuring).
  • Provide information for audit queries and assist with non-routine ad hoc tax matters.
  • Coach and train T&FA Accountants as required.
  • Provide coaching on both soft and technical skills within the team.
  • Act as a role model to others.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified (CTA, ACA or ACCA preferred).
  • 4 years relevant Tax experience.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, including a wide range of stakeholders.
