Role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a greenfield initiative within one of the world’s largest market data platforms.

You’ll help build the capability to monitor, measure and understand market data performance across 40+ global data centres.

The role focuses on synthetic testing, latency measurement and large-scale data aggregation, transforming performance data into global latency views and actionable health insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build systems for globally distributed synthetic testing of market data flows.
  • Develop aggregation layers to process large-scale latency data.
  • Create global latency views and health dashboards.
  • Analyse distributed data to identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Improve monitoring, diagnostics and operational visibility.
  • Contribute to the architecture and development of a new platform from the ground up.

Required Experience

  • Experience building high-performance, latency-sensitive systems at scale.
  • Background in globally distributed, real-time systems or large-scale data infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with Go, Rust or C++.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java or TypeScript.
  • Experience handling large data volumes and building scalable processing pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of system performance, latency measurement and optimisation.
