Summary: The Senior Structural Engineer will be part of a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality engineering services for various projects. This role requires strong client relationship management and a proven track record in multiple sectors. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Engineer with experience in medium-sized projects and managing components of larger projects. Responsibilities include design consultancy, project management, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering services design and consultancy work under the direction of the line manager or project lead.
• Produce design deliverables (including drawings, specifications and reports), site surveys, construction stage duties, client liaison with members of design/construction teams, project management, costing and ensure progress against the project brief.
• Check calculations and detailed drawings to ensure engineering designs meet appropriate quality and compliance controls, project brief and customer requirements.
• Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary members of the design team to deliver safe, efficient and buildable solutions.
• Contribute to the preparation of enquiry plans, tender reviews, fee estimate sheets, scopes of work and change controls as required.
• Review specialist subcontractors/suppliers’ calculations and drawings for technical compliance with design intent.
• Ensure team compliance with company quality management and best practice for ‘Perfect Delivery’.

Key Skills:

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Fully conversant with CDM Regulations, British Standards and Eurocodes related to civil and structural loading, design and specification.
• Experience with building structures in steelwork and reinforced concrete.
• Knowledge of foundations and sub-structures.
• Understanding of earthworks and site investigations.
• Familiarity with external works and drainage.
