Summary: The Senior SSAS Administrator role at Hartley Pensions involves managing all aspects of SSAS administration within the Payroll team. The position requires overseeing daily operations, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The candidate will also be responsible for communication with clients and stakeholders, as well as monitoring team performance. This interim role offers the potential for hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and undertake all aspects of SSAS administration and the administration team’s work.
  • Allocate daily post to the team and log it on a daily basis.
  • Handle new business requests, retirements, transfers, loans, investments, and other aspects of SSAS administration.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the SSAS Administration Team.
  • Submit HMRC annual scheme returns and event reports for SASS and SIPP schemes.
  • Complete and submit the SA970 Tax Claim to HMRC for SASS schemes.
  • Ensure timely submission of Pensions Regulator scheme returns.
  • Register all schemes with the Information Commissioner and manage annual renewals.
  • Complete FCA Gabriel Returns for SIPP schemes.
  • Communicate with clients, solicitors, accountants, and intermediaries.
  • Manage payments from scheme accounts in compliance with Client Money policy.
  • Prepare and manage SIPP Annual Reviews to meet deadlines.
  • Monitor team workloads and performance, reporting discrepancies.
  • Identify areas for improvement and assist in process preparation.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of SSAS schemes from inception to transfer.
  • Self-organized with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Salary (Rate): £200
