Main duties of the job This is a whole time locally employed Senior Specialty ENT fellow post in Rhinology, Head & Neck Surgery with duties at Southampton General Hospital and the Royal South Hants Hospital. You must perform at SpR level and be able to benchmark for national application to ST3. If Core Surgical Training has not been completed then a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Higher Surgical training will be required. This post is not a recognised training post, and is not a post-CCT fellowship. Routine duties of the post include attendance in rhinology & H&N outpatients, rhinology & H&N theatres and supporting the general running of the ENT service. On-call commitment at SpR level: In hours rotating hot week 1:7 on site at SGH and out of hours non-resident on call covering patients in ENT at University Hospital Southampton, Salisbury and Winchester 1:9.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities Ear Nose and Throat Senior Specialty Fellow (SpR equivalent) rotation for a fixed term of 12 months. There is opportunity for experience in rhinology and head and neck subspecialties as well as general ENT emergency management. Additional Information Appointment will be made under local contractual terms and conditions of service for Trust appointed (non-training fellow doctors and dentists). Applicants requiring Skilled Worker sponsorship should ensure they meet the Home Office application criteria prior to submitting an application. Successful candidates will have an educational framework equivalent to training grade doctors, and there will be a named educational supervisor assigned at the start of the post. The opportunity for Continued Professional Development (CPD) is highly supported and encouraged by the Trust, with options available to take study leave. Grades for Trust appointed (non-training) fellows will be paid a basic salary at a nodal pay point linked to the grade, at the rate set out in the National Medical and Dental pay circular.
