Summary: The role of Senior Solutions Architect / Enterprise Architect focuses on leading the design and delivery of integrated network solutions within the satellite and mobile telecoms convergence space. This hands-on technical leadership position requires expertise in both satellite communications and terrestrial mobile network infrastructure. The architect will engage with various stakeholders, including satellite operators and mobile network operators, to ensure successful solution delivery in a managed or fixed-price environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for hybrid satellite and mobile network integration programmes
- Develop high-level designs (HLD) and detailed requirements for converged network solutions
- Define architecture for non-terrestrial network (NTN) integration with existing RAN and core infrastructure
- Design connectivity solutions spanning satellite backhaul, hybrid RAN, NOC operations and service assurance
- Own technical deliverables within fixed-price or managed-budget engagement models
- Validate solution outputs at key delivery gates
- Engage directly with major satellite operators and Tier 1 mobile network operators across the UK and Europe
- Define SLAs, KPIs and service assurance frameworks for integrated satellite-mobile solutions
- Architect NOC integration for converged satellite and terrestrial monitoring
Key Skills:
- Proven track record as a Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect or Principal Architect within telecoms, satellite communications or both
- Deep knowledge of satellite communications: GEO, LEO, HEO orbits, ground segment architecture, teleport/upstation design and satellite network operations
- Strong understanding of mobile network architecture: RAN (including Open RAN/vRAN), core network, IP/MPLS transport and network operations
- Hands-on experience integrating satellite and terrestrial mobile infrastructure
- Experience working within or alongside established satellite operators at a global or regional level
- Comfortable leading architecture within fixed-price or managed-service delivery models
- Experience producing high-level designs, detailed technical requirements and vendor evaluation documentation
- Strong stakeholder management across C-suite, programme leadership, engineering and vendors
- Familiarity with the UK/European satellite connectivity market and its key industry ecosystems
- Knowledge of service assurance platforms, NOC tooling and monitoring frameworks for hybrid networks
- Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies within telco environments
- IP networking at scale, including routing, switching and network security in carrier-grade environments
- TOGAF, Archimate or equivalent enterprise architecture certification

This is a hands-on technical leadership role at the intersection of satellite communications and terrestrial mobile network infrastructure, leading the design and delivery of integrated network solutions for enterprise clients and operator partners.
You will own solution design from high-level architecture through to detailed requirements and vendor engagement, working across satellite operators, mobile network operators and systems integrators. You will need to be comfortable operating across commercial and technical boundaries, leading deliverables, and validating outputs in a managed or fixed-price delivery environment.
