SALARY: £63,152 - £95,950

LOCATION(S): Edinburgh, Bristol, Leeds or London

HOURS: Full-time

What you'll be doing

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join us to help build and support the systems that underpin regulatory reporting and risk compliance, working with Datastage and Oracle-based technologies. This is a hands-on role where you'll contribute to both change delivery and live service, while continuing to develop your engineering capability, problem-solving skills, and understanding of complex banking data.

What you'll be doing

You'll write clean, efficient and well-documented code in line with engineering standards, while supporting change delivery across Datastage and Oracle-based systems. Working closely with senior engineers, you'll develop a clear understanding of requirements and help resolve issues, contributing to the stability and performance of live applications through ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting and debugging. You'll monitor systems in production, identify bugs and implement fixes, and play an active role in incident management, including root cause analysis, to improve resilience and security. Alongside this, you'll take part in code reviews and team discussions to strengthen quality and share knowledge, apply test automation and debugging tools to support performance and reliability, and use Agile ways of working to plan, prioritise and deliver effectively. Clear communication with stakeholders will be key, keeping them informed on progress, risks and opportunities for improvement.

What we're looking for?
