Summary: The role of Senior Software Engineer involves working with a leading client in the financial services industry in Galway, focusing on both client and server-side development within an Agile environment. The position requires extensive software development experience and expertise in technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. The engineer will design and deliver software solutions, contribute to CI/CD improvements, and engage with business partners to meet technical requirements. This is a hybrid contract position requiring an EU passport or Stamp 4 visa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and delivering high-quality, maintainable software solutions in an Agile environment
- Contributing to automation testing and CI/CD pipeline improvements
- Supporting AWS pipeline management and deployments
- Participating in design/code reviews and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Engaging with business partners to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
- Providing production support when required
Key Skills:
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs
- Proven knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools
- Experience with Angular is a plus
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum and distributed team environments
- Familiarity with database technologies
