Senior Software Developer
Warton (Hybrid: 1–2 days on site)
£34.77 PAYE or £44.31 Umbrella (inside IR35)
12-Month Contract
BPSS required (SC in progress, ITAR restrictions apply)
Overview
We’re looking for Senior Software Developers to support the Engineering Support Subsystem (ESS)—a critical platform used by the RAF to monitor, diagnose, and maintain combat aircraft systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse requirements and contribute to software design
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable code
- Write tests and technical documentation
- Support integration, build, and testing activities
- Contribute to tooling, standards, and team improvements
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Strong C# / .
NET experience
Knowledge of VB6
WPF and/or WinForms
Desirable:
Git/ClearCase, Azure DevOps
Oracle, SQL, XML
Automated testing tools
TDD, SOLID, Agile
Additional Info
- 37 hours/week, flexible working hours
- STEM degree or equivalent experience required
