Senior Site Manager

Summary: The role of Senior Site Manager involves overseeing a new build mixed-use development in Hove, managing all site activities from the completion of the frame through to handover. The candidate must have extensive experience in large-scale projects and maintain high health, safety, and environmental standards. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage on-site staff and subcontractors are essential. The position is freelance for a duration of 12 months or more, with a competitive hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full management responsibility for all site activity on a mixed-use development project.
• Ensure high levels of health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained.
• Supervise and coordinate on-site staff, subcontractors, plant, and materials.
• Build and maintain good relationships across all subcontractors and direct employees.
• Conduct regular site safety checks and maintain strict quality control procedures.
• Manage the project from the current stage through cladding, internals, and final finish to handover.
• Utilize good IT skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook for project management.

Key Skills:

• Strong communication and liaison skills.
• CSCS, SMSTS & First Aid at Work certifications as a minimum.
• Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality finishes.
• Experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
• Ability to maintain high health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Good IT skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Salary (Rate): £36.00/hour
